The Ashtavinayak Yatra is a highly revered pilgrimage in Maharashtra, visiting the eight ancient and self-manifested temples of Lord Ganesha. Each temple has its own unique legend and spiritual importance, and all are located in different regions around Pune. The journey symbolizes the circle of life—starting and ending at Morgaon, the main temple of Mayureshwar Ganapati. Other temples include Siddhatek, Theur, Ranjangaon, Ozar, Lenyadri, Mahad, and Pali. Devotees believe that completing the entire yatra brings immense blessings, success, and removes all obstacles from life.

Itinerary

  • Pick-up from Pune Railway Station / Airport and transfer to hotel

  • After fresh-up, begin the Ashtavinayak Yatra covering 8 holy shrines of Lord Shri Ganapati in Maharashtra

  • Start with darshan at Mayureshwar Temple, Morgaon (90 kms / 2 hrs)

  • En route, visit:

    • Narayanpur – Abode of Lord Tirupati Balaji

    • Jejuri – Sacred temple of Shri Khandoba

  • Proceed to:

    • Siddhatek – Lord Siddhi Vinayak (75 kms / 1.5 hrs)

    • Theur – Shree Chintamani Ganapati

  • Return to Pune (110 kms / 2 hrs)

  • Dinner and rest

  • 7.00am Breakfast

  • Proceed to visit:

    • Ranjangaon – Lord Mahaganapati (55 kms / 1 hr)

    • Ozer – Lord Vighneshwar Vinayak (90 kms / 2 hrs)

    • Lenyadri – Lord Girijatmaj Vinayaka, located in a cave amidst hills

  • Return to Pune (100 kms / 2 hrs)

  • Dinner and rest

  • After breakfast, check out from hotel

  • Proceed to:

    • Mahad – Lord Varad Vinayak (90 kms / 2 hrs)

    • Pali – Shri Ballaleshwar Vinayak (40 kms / 1 hr)

  • Later, depart for Pune (125 kms / 2 hrs)

  • Transfer to Pune Railway Station / Airport for return journey
